Upper-Middle-Lower Strength: (Formerly JointWorks - Richard Gafter):
Mondays & Fridays 12-1pm
Just what it says!  This high energy class works out your entire body and also incorporates bonus cardio sections to get you into peak shape.  Dumbbells, exercise bands and body weight are used throughout the workout to keep you on your toes!

NIA (pronounced "kneeyuh"):
(Johanna St. Michael - Certified Nia Instructor)
Mondays 2-2:45pm, Wednesdays 12-12:45pm & Saturdays 12-1pm
Nia is a sensory-based movement practice that leads to health, wellness and fitness. It empowers people of all shapes and sizes by connecting the body, mind, emotions and spirit. Classes are taken barefoot to soul-stirring music in more than 45 countries. Nia draws from disciplines of the martial arts, dance arts and healing arts. Every class offers a unique combination of 52 moves that correspond with the main areas of the body: the base, the core and the upper extremities.

Yoga: Relax & Renew or Stretch & Strength: [Kelly Webb]
Tuesdays and Fridays 10-11am
What is your body needing this week ... to relax on Tuesdays or to stretch and strengthen on Fridays? Both are possible when you take either with Kelly. Please note you must be able to get up and down from the floor for the Friday class.

Qi Gong (Chi Kung) : [Jassandra Lea]
Tuesdays 11-12pm ** NEW TIME
Qi Gong is an ancient Chinese tradition of exercise designed to improve health and well being through movement of breath, body and Qi (pronounced “Chee”).  Qi means “breath”.  Gong means “work” applied to a discipline.  The eight exercises will be repeated many times plus bamboo sticks will be used for posture, alignment and balance.

Kelly's Stretching & Core Class: [Kelly Webb]
Wednesdays 2-3pm
WBS+ is one full hour of stretching exercises and education with an emphasis on core exercises.  Each class includes standing stretches and movements to increase flexibility.

TAI CHI : [Jassandra Lea - Master Tai Chi Instructor]
Thursdays 10:45-11:45am & 12:45-1:45pm
Tai chi is often described as “meditation in motion”, but it might as well be called “medication in motion”.  There is growing evidence that this mind-body practice, which originated in China as a martial art, has value in treating or preventing many health problems.  And you can get started even if you aren’t in top shape or the best of health.

Chair TAI CHI : [Jassandra Lea - Master Tai Chi Instructor]
Thursdays 1-2pm
This is a series of seated, gently guided movements from Tai Chi and Qi Gong. Focus is on relaxation and release of stress so there is no need to memorize a complicated routine. These classes are helpful for anyone recovering from accident, illness, stroke or just looking for a gentle exercise routine.

Move with JJ 1 [Integrated Floor Movements]:
Thursdays 12-12:45pm
Most people have never learned or have forgotten how to properly move from their hips, rather than their knees and lower back.  These classes specifically train you to reactivate and your hip and core muscles so you reduce wear and tear on your knees and back and allow you to move comfortably to and from the floor.  No matter what your fitness level is, you will be amazed about how much stronger and more confident you feel just after a few sessions!  30 minute class…short and sweet!

Move with JJ 2 [Integrated Dynamic Movements]:
Sundays 10:30-12pm
This is the ‘extended and expanded version’ of Thursday’s 30 minute movement class (in fact, we use the space outside of MedEx while the mall is closed).  This time, we explore many movements over the ground using whatever we can to create an obstacle course.  This allows us to create a playful atmosphere while moving in ways that challenge our balance, range of motion and strength.  Join us for a great 75-90 minute workout to end one week and start a new one!


** 3 or less participants for a class, and that class may be cancelled for that day
